Lean Data & AI Strategy goes AI Accelerated with Catalyst

Learn how the Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop and Data & AI Business Catalyst help teams build shared context, shape strategy on a Miro board and turn results into reports, mockups and follow-up tasks.

A data & AI strategy workshop should give people time for judgment.

  • Which use cases deserve investment?
  • Which assumptions need testing?
  • What needs to change for the strategy to work?

Those decisions depend on the knowledge people bring and the understanding they develop together. Preparing the material for that discussion takes work too: reviewing documents, drafting a briefing and creating the first canvas notes.

Our one-day Lean Data & AI Strategy Workshop brings business owners, data and AI experts, IT professionals and users together to develop a direction they understand and can support. Because those are the people who will put the strategy into practice and help shape it.

The Data & AI Business Catalyst and dedicated AI Flows help you to do exactly that: prepare that material, contribute to the team’s work on the shared Miro board and support the follow-up.

Shared context for people and AI

Briefings prepared from the participants’ documents and notes help the team agree on objectives and constraints. Review and correct them before continuing. The Catalyst draws on that same context, together with the current canvas, its tutorial and field definitions.

Working together on the board

The team can start with a Catalyst draft, or build a canvas itself and ask the AI to check its consistency or challenge its assumptions. The proposals stay on the board, where participants can correct a status, change a dependency or add knowledge from their own work. They can then ask the Catalyst to review the revised canvas or compare options against their objective.

This work connects business priorities with use cases, an application roadmap and data products. Requirements for Technology, Organization and People (TOP) are considered across product pipelines, so shared components, responsibilities and skills can be discussed together.

Carry the work forward

Summary Flows capture the current canvas results and their development from the briefing for a combined report with an executive summary. A selected data product and its documented context can become a clickable wireframe to discuss with prospective users, without implementing the underlying analytics.

A Use Case Products Catalog can be printed out as a detailed table, just by one click.

Tasks & Tests prepares follow-up cards from the recorded work; a question can become a proposed investigation with evidence to collect. Review the documents and cards, then agree owners and dates for the tasks.

The same shared work can now be read as a report, explored through a mockup or taken forward as a task. This is strategy as artefacts, as we call it, referring to the usual workflow in software development. You can even handoff to the AI plattform of your choice, be it Codex, Claude or Cursor.
