From Forest Project to Interactive Analysis: How PLANT-MY-TREE Uses Talk2Earth

PLANT-MY-TREE uses Talk2Earth to turn complex reforestation monitoring into interactive analysis, combining curated Earthlets with chat-based questions on growth, risk, biomass and CO2.

How can you show that a forest project is growing, stable, and delivering on its promise?

That question was the starting point for the PLANT-MY-TREE Earthlet in Talk2Earth. PLANT-MY-TREE works with reforestation projects and needs to make project development transparent — for customers, for internal quality assurance, and for project communication.

Normally, this kind of analysis is complex. You need data, maps, technical expertise, external services, or your own monitoring tools. Talk2Earth takes a different approach: users can ask complex questions in natural language — and receive a concrete, usable analysis.

For PLANT-MY-TREE, the first step was the development of a new curated template. The initial Earthlet was not generated from a single chat prompt. It was built from a real customer problem and turned into a reusable Talk2Earth building block.

The base Earthlet focuses on two concrete PLANT-MY-TREE project areas: Havetoft and Lüdenscheid. It brings together the project polygons, project status, development since project start, growth indicators, temperature context, risk context, and a biomass / CO₂ section in one place.

Once this curated template exists in the Talk2Earth catalogue, users can continue working with it directly through the chat. Daniel Köhler from PLANT-MY-TREE tested exactly that: he asked for a CO₂ analysis for Havetoft since 2020, requested the basis of the calculation, and then switched the biomass / CO₂ method to an AGB-based approach.

The result: the existing Earthlet became the starting point for a new analysis variant — created directly through dialogue.

For PLANT-MY-TREE, this combination of transparency, efficiency, and flexibility is the key benefit.

Talk2Earth is a game changer for us in terms of transparency and efficiency.
As a sustainability manager and expert for CO₂ removal projects at PLANT-MY-TREE®, I make sure that our forests do not just grow, but also deliver the impact they promise. Talk2Earth has become a very efficient tool for this.

We use the platform to continuously measure the vitality, biodiversity, and CO₂ removals of our forest projects. This gives us, and especially our customers, confidence that our projects are lasting and that their ecological success can be tracked transparently.”

— Daniel Köhler, PLANT-MY-TREE®

The PLANT-MY-TREE example shows what Talk2Earth is built for: turning a concrete customer need into a curated Earthlet. And then using that Earthlet as a flexible starting point for new analyses in conversation.

Here you can try it directly yourself, analyse or change the earthlet:

A real user problem becomes a reusable Talk2Earth building block. And from that building block, new analyses can be created directly through chat.
